I was rearended by a guy with no licence but insurance years ago. ( don't ask me how that works) I had no medical insurance at the time and I felt fine at the scene. Well the next morning was way different I hurt BAD. The insurance company told me to go get it fixed and send them the bill, so I sent them a 3000 dollar bill and they tried to say that was to too much medical expense. They offered me 600.They said that there was no way I could be hurt when my 74 blazer 4x4 only had 500 damage.

Those insurance companies are out for a profit at your misfortune. I would have never said this before the accident but the guys on here are right. HIRE A LAWYER, and go see a doctor. After my case was over 2 years later everyone got more money than me and the judges by into the insurances crap stories. It ought to befraud what they do, and most lawyers that will take you case just want their money and don't want to actually stand up against the insurance companies cause it would take to much time. My attorney worked maybe 6 hours and made more than me.

So fight those fools for all you are worth.

Got the official police report. According to their csi computer math she was going 51.9083mph or 76.0976fps:eek:. One witness that was behind her thought I was going to roll when I landed due to how far she threw me. She was charged for DWI and careless driving. More to come.

I got slammed in the rear a year ago. I was stopped and she was doing maybe 50. I ended up getting treated by a Chiorpracter. The nuerologists wouldn't even see me on second party pay unless I hired a lawyer. I wasn't out to scam anyone, just tried to be honest. My whole series of treatments probably weren't a drop in the bucket compared to what they would have paid if I had went the lawyer route with MRI and cat scans. Then the insurance company chickenshits me on the mileage and pain and suffering and will only go a grand. I wish I would have reamed their butts. Do it and don't feel guilty, they will only be nice until you sign off and would screw your mom if it was for a buck.

I don't know how the system works in the USA but here in Canada the first thing you have to do is get a GOOD lawyer. They take a wack of money but in the longrun you come out way better.Document every little detail, headaches, pain,DEPRESSION,etc. You pay for insurance and deserve to be compensated.I have suffered for 25 years with whipplash,I live on codeine
and morphine most of the time.It sucks! Remember no discount lawyers.
    Hope you'll be OK!

A DWI is much, much worse than a DUI. You can be Driving Under The Influence and still be in the legal range, but considered impaired, but Driving While Intoxicated means you ARE over the legal limit. That DWI will cost her between 3 and 6 thousand dollars plus her license. I hate to see good, old iron get fucked up, but dude, what were you thinking with THOSE wheels on that truck?

I hope it cost's her more than that although this is New Mexico.

Yes your right, but those wheels and tires cost me $100. I've been trying to find a straight set of steels for it and have ended up with a pile of rims out back. I thought a set of 16" moons and drop it a few inches and it would have looked fine.

Take everyone's advice and have your head checked out. I slipped and fell once on the job, I landed on my head first. I hit so hard that I tasted blood in my mouth, and everything went black for a few seconds. I didn't go to a doctor because I was young, dumb and a tough guy. It wasn't until a year later that I started to really notice how I gad a lot more headaches than usual, and other funky things. Go get checked out, it's hard to say how it's gonna effect you later.

  10. Mate, being rear ended that hard by a drubk driver is worth £10,000 sterling all day long in the UK. That's in addition to the cost of putting your car right.

PM me if you want to know what the right symptoms are.

  11. What 40StudeDude said, prosecute to the fullest and get your truck fixed 100%. Dont let up.

Goes to show how great the new cars are built these days...did the bed even warp from this accident?

    Glad to hear your okay....

it depends on your state, i know here, once you fuck up while driving under the infleunce, it's as bad as a DWI, it doesn't matter WHAT you are fucked up on, or to what legal extent, if it affects your driving to the point of causing accidents, it's legally as bad as a DWI.

my buddy got a dui about a year ago, cost him roughly 4 grand and his license, as you said. in california, they make no distinction, dui and dwi are interchangeable.

Go to this site : http://www.vmrintl.com/cctm/cctmenus/cctmprcs\59chseon.htm And figure out how much your truck is worth. I'm guessing that it's in good shape and a runner, so we are talking at least $7500 insurance value. I got rear ended in my '60 truck and the body man without looking at the book said it was totaled, needless to say, I didn't use that shop for anything else other then the bill I sent the insurance company. Also make sure you get extra coverage for your mellon.

    Sorry about your truck.

He who has the most damage wins!

Don't go giving Coddington any ideas with that new Hide-Away rear bumper.
