Hey all! I am so excited to have come across this forum. I have always loved American luxury boats, and just recently purchased a 1971 Mercury Monterey. 69,000 original miles, and almost immaculate interior. Picking it up from the painter next Friday. It will be hugger orange. I love the lines of the car. The only drawback is that it is a sedan, but that made it a lot easier to talk the guy down on the price. I like the idea of tuning the engine up and making it into something like the Ford GTHO's. That's why im here. Looking at everyones posts, and trying to get inspired. I'll be posting pics soon.
