Very well done! Great use of color. Are you building a show rod?

it was most definately not going to be a show car, but i think my painter changed that plan.

white and black tuck and roll maybe? any wheel suggestions?

Paint job looks fantastic! Very nice work by your pal.

I'd like to hear more about the 2 door conversion, are the front doors lengthened? Proportions look surprisingly good, like a window-panel truck.

Also (not to nit pick) but 15" '40 wheels? I think they were all 16" until '49.

    Keep posting pics!

thats cool, just hope you planned to go with a 60's theme. like others noted, you will need lots of chrome to go with it. I would not go with black and white tuck in roll, that is now a 60s style and you need to go with interior from that period (like all black pleats) or something else. chrome reverse with black wall tires, a chrome roll bar and maybe a tonneau cover over the rear section unless you plan to have a rear seat.

Now finish it off with a 60's style wheels and interior and you'll be set.

  23. Yep. I too am speechless.

That's cool as hell! I love a good panel job, and some nice lace to boot. That's a great friend. I grew up in the late 70's and eighties when that style had sort of gone out of style, but I would still see one occasionally. I always dug it.

I bet he just added 10g's to the value of your car, that's a pretty good buddy. Ta hell with the pizza and beer you owe him an hour down at the Oriental massage parlor;)
