I am bummed - missing out on a local show

This weekend is the old Vargo Dragway Reunion here in SE Penna
The strip is less than 5 miles from my house, and I can't go!!!!

I'm just fininshing up a year's worth of Radiation, Chemo & Surgey for Cancer that was found a year ogo. I had my final surgery last Wed, got home from the hospital on Sunday, and thought I'd be OK to go today, but I'm not up to it.

I live on a long hill, and it's the main way to get from the metro Philly area to Vargo's, so I'm sitting here in the living room listening to the street rods climbing past my place.

Pure torture, since I'm far enough off the road that I can't see them real well, but I can hear them.......

Oh well, the bright side is that the doc's say there's no sign of the cancer in some PET/CAT scans they took 3 weeks ago, and I was able to start working on the '49 again 2 weeks ago, so maybe my goal of having it running by Christmas is 'doable'

Oh well, enough complaining....................................

 

nobody can give you a ride. that blows man. my wifes mother just finished up her last round of kimo. good luck man.

Yep, look on the bright side brother......you have to miss one show to beat the big C, but you'll be able to go to anything you ever want to from here on out!
