I am going to metal meet 2003! I LUCKED OUT, I requested time off from work to attend this event (and I convinced my bosses that my attendance would benefit my workplace) so I am heading out next Thursday. Oct 20 The bad news is that I have to pay for the trip out of my own pocket.. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I should stop on the way out or back? Id love to get to an old yard somewhere along the way out or the way home I will be returning to philly November 4 2003. Thanks sawzall IF anyones there.. Keep an eye out for me! I will have my Scotty camper and will be staying on site. I am planning to bring my home made English wheel and my planishing Hammer, I think. I may have other stuff too depending what goes down.. I will most likely be pulling my camper with my 40, since my s10 is a piece of ****.. And my 48 pickup is just ugly. That is unless someone has something they need delivered or picked up along the way More info at www.metalmeet.com The Third Annual International Metal Meet will be held this year at MetalMeet member Randy Ferguson's shop in Robinson, Illinois at the shop of Randy Ferguson. This free (well almost) weeklong event is October 29 through November 4, 2003. Attendees can spend a day or the entire week. There will be a modest fee 50 bucks for materials and expenses. In addition to Randy's shop space, we will be renting a LARGE tent so there will be plenty of room to work and observe. We plan on having a considerable collection of equipment: TEN or more English Wheels, several types of shrinkers/stretchers, planishing hammers, forges, shears, brakes, and more hand tools and hammers than a tool store. Bring what you have.
Hey Jeff, just two words for ya "YOU ****". Our good tax money at work, so sorry you have to pay your own way though(hahahahahahaha) But have fun anyway
