    Keep it coming fellas.

And Mr48Chev, I've had a few of those air tanks like in your photo as well. Mostly the larger (9 gallon?) size, but a couple about half size also. Not sure if one of those will work as a fuel tank in my T or not?

Those air tanks are stainless and should make really good fuel tanks. Just weld on some bung fittings
    and go for it..........

  4. Sorry, just saw this. More then likely, looks like it came from a C-47 (Gooney Bird). Good property, but throw the "swamp boy" mount in the trash!! LOL

  5. I guess it COULD'VE come from a "Gooney Bird". It'd have to be an early one as the deep bucket housed a seat packed parachute. In the service I flew a Navy R4D-8, a much later aircraft version of 'The Bird". Douglas made these with a stronger fuselage, wider wing span and larger tail feathers. It had two big Wright 2000 engines. But the seats on the flight deck didn't have deep buckets. My 1942 Stearman training aircraft has metal deep bucket seats that don't look anything like the one in the photo. Just my "Two Cents" .

If it was a bomber seat, you can bet a hero sat in it...
