My advice to you is if by the time you turn 16 you haven't got this car running, buy something cheap that you could not possibly put much money into. For example, I my dad gave me my '48 chev when i was 14, I planned to get it working so i could drive it to highschool, well that never happened so I bought a cheap jeep after i turned 16. soon after I realized that stock jeeps looked gay, so I put a good 3K into it. now I'm 18 and I realized i could have just driven the stock jeep and put that 3K into the chevy which is what I really wanted.

don't get sidetracked by projects you are only halfway interested in. Its a great way to waste time and money.

You guys had to wait till 16 for a driver's license?
    I worked on a farm.

  4. I bought 2 cars before I was 16, a '64 Impala 2dr HT ($175), and a '53 New Yorker ($350), 1979 prices. Both ran, until I got hold of them. [IMG]

Yeah, you know, you can score like an 84 honda CIVIC CRX reeeeeal cheap... plenty dependable, excellent gas mileage, easy enough to work on to keep running if you get over your predjudice against metric tools... meanwhile you can fix that pontiac up CHERRY!

Then go back and do a VTEC swap on the CRX!!!

    HAHAHAHAAAAH! You punkass import/SBC hater!
