I bought Deathproof from Sam's for $18.99

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Nads, Sep 20, 2007.

  1. We rented "Deathproof" last Saturday ......watched it and
really enjoyed it .....Sunday I went on Ebay, won an auction for one....then later in the day Woody decided to get the "Deathproof" soundtrack....He went on Amazon.com and by this weekend they both arrived in the mail. :)
I think "Deathproof" will become a classic. :D Yeah I do have to agree, Quentin kind of went somewhat overboard with his monolog in the 2nd disc:eek:
but if you had the status he has in Hollywood, it comes with the territory......
I also agree about having some knowledgeable car hands to bounce off of. .....As many of the scenes should have been spot
on. For those of you who were savey enough to pick up on the flubbs ........good for you dudes!!!!

I know what he was going for. And hit it for hte most part. But, still, it was barely a B- movie in my book.

Just rented this tonight. Easily one of the most painful movies to sit through.

If it was 35 minutes it would have been the most kickass movie ever.

I watched it over the weekend and I LOVED it. But then again I am a chick who loves both cars and a good fight!

I like his movies. They are random in a good way. I liked Kill Bill. No one else seemed to :)

His movies NEVER have a plot! there was only about 20 minutes of watchable parts in the damn thing! and btw, what is up with the rims on that charger??? Dont they have some guy on the crew with taste?

  7. :) Bought Deathproof on Ebay....Last week we bought Planet Terror. Both were different, and a new kind of jonra so yeah, you should be
into cars, and lots of violence. I liked it for the artistic measures.....the acting was great, and lots of kool stuff that I'm sure will be called "eclectic" long after were gone....:D

Saw it in the theatre and bought the dvd.
I'm a huge fan of both creators but I think
Rodriguez fell short and Quinten nailed it.

I love dialogue (when well written).

I saw this movie on opening night and loved it. I honestly could've done without most of a dialog, and the chase scene was the best I've seen in a while. Oh, and chicks from New Zealand are hot.

Loved it! Would have been a great make out movie at the drive in!!!!

Russell was perfect for that role,

Caught the door frames right away.

Liked the Nova the best it was Evil!

Note to self: never put a red interior in my yellow Stang!

    I want the cheerleader chick!

    "It's my Moms car" Classic!

What were the Duck hood ornaments about!!!!
    "Convoy" reference?
