I'm putting continuous, personal, finishing touches on my 1950 panel truck. The end of the task is not yet in sight. Because of the type of vehicle it is, it's a stretch to call it a hot rod anyway. Leather and carpet, don't'cha know.
So I don't.
I call it whatever I want to call it. Some days, it's called a Cargo Cadillac. Other days, it's an Idiosyncratic, Mid Twentieth Century, Fat Back with a Soft Retro Inclination. Once in awhile, it's called #*%@#!
I'm personalizing it my way so I call it whatever I want. I think it's like a law or something. If I want to call it a "Hot Rod" and you try and stop me, I'll beat you in court.
You hang in there, Danny. The angels are on our side.

I believe Don da34guy, has hit the nail on the head about those who bad mouth cars of others probably don't even own or have ever built a car.
I'm for a HAMB requirement that those who bad mouth the cars of others must include a picture of their own handiwork.

It's about the individual and their vision.

 

This site is pretty specific about what fits. I'm rebuilding my car but it won't meet all the criteria as it will be more of a 70's style. It will be a stick shift car but will also have heat and a/c. I have a 392 going in but will retain the 1980 Corvette rear end for now until I can swap for a QC or just a 9". There will be a few other things that aren't "traditional" and may prevent me from posting photos of the car here but I don't care.
When I'm tooling down the road with it and having a blast, photos of it on some web site are pretty irrelevant. It's the smile on my face that matters. I'm sure you feel the same.

 

Your garage, your car, your rules. If something doesn't meet the criteria on the hamb just don't flaunt it. And if you do, don't whine when it gets deleted. Pretty simple huh?
