After spending a couple hours going over everything and fiinishing off covering the rest of the truck.....
    I sprayed the color......

The paint laid out nice..no heavy edges and no runs..no 'leaks' or overspray!! i got lucky :D
I uses ICI for the flames.. I've had great luck with thier products and wanted a red that had good quality coverage..I used single stage gloss Mila-Miglia red, a mid 70's Vette red.
It's not a bright shocking color, more subtle which was exactly what i was after.
In most of the pics it look's brighter than it really is..a couple show the true more deeper color...

    Anyway, here's some pics..
Cell phone cam so not the best quality...and there's a bunch of them.. I didn't feel like sorting through them so i just posted what i took..
Sometime next week they will be striped in white by a fellow HAMBer and friend of mine Paul 'Von' Straus..

Got a few hours into these but it was worth it.. I dig the "new" look.. :)

Sweet, I really like how you left a gap at the body lines. Don't know if you are going to fill those in with the stripe but looks good as is IMO.

    Thanks :)
I wanted that 'panel' look on this instead of the whole front of the truck..
Just thought it would look cleaner on this...

It'll all be outlined it white.

Just got confirmation the line's will get done the beginning of next week! WOOHOO! hahaha

I wanted to run a bumper, but in all honesty, i'm not sure it's going to have enough ground clearance for around here... I figure it'll only be about 3-4" off the ground at the most..
The rear of the front fenders are only about 3.5"..........
I WILL find out for sure though..
If i can't, that's cool... I like it without too... Well, once i get the lower grill bar on that is.

Bob... Your car WAS my inspiration for doing this...period....
Thanks for hooking me up with the pics....and being cool about me doing a "tribute" kinda flame job of yours...
It's funny, when someone asked me what kind of flames was i going to do, i just said Bad Bob style...you shoulda seen the look's id get...hahaha
    THANKS a lot man!!

It's so hard to get the proportions right, but those are just great.

I have seen alot of guys put everything they have into building their cars and do a fantastic job. Then they attempt to do the graphics and screw it up. There's nothing worse. Few people can pull off both a great build and great graphics. You flames came out great and your truck is really sharp.
    Nicely Done.

Looks great Tony. Glad its coming together for ya.

I went through that taping, retaping, untaping when we(More J-Bird)did my 53 GMC truck.

    But was worth it.
