I could use some advise

I have a 1950 chevy pu 3100 it has a 1960 235 w/ orig 3 speed ******* & rear end I have a gm 373 rear end & a T5******* for a swap The 235 is tired and will need a rebuild I also have a 1967 250 engine it also will need a rebuild When i rebuild i want to put some pep in the engine[ can carb exhaust ect.] what engine would be better for this project thanks for your advise bob

 

go with the newer stuff all around, will be a good reliable cruiser
