I have kept you folks outta the loop but I really could use some prayer.

Well some of you know that I have been having some shortness of breath.. I went to the doctors on last tues and they told me I may be a sinus infection and that they wanted me to take some medcine call If i get worse.... well wends I didnt feel any better so the doctor told me to come in and get some chest x rays then had to go back and get a cat scan.. long story short I recived a call on my business trip in florida over the weekend that I have a 4x5 m*** by my heart and lungs.. Im a little worried but God will get me thru this

    Update:
well here it is.... talked to the docotor and took a lung test first test I had only 80% of my lung capcity and the second one same result and the third test I Only have 35%..... 90% of these are non cancerous.. options are 1. make a small cut and another one and take a small piece and biopsy it 2. Same thing after biospy and then take the thing out and let the sac its in to disapate away.. 3. option is open my chest from my belly ****on to my upper chest and break some ribs and take a good look and take it out. Not sur ewhat I want its not up to me.. please continue to pray for me.. I will let you all know when and where its going to happen as soon as I find out.

I have an appointment at 11:45 this morning with the thorasic surgeon

Best of luck man. The big "C" has been beat before, and it will be beat again. My mom is a survivor. Keep us informed and we'll keep you in our prayers.

    Get a second opinion...

Talk to USC or UCLA Med centers. They have experimental medication that can shrink the m***. You have to get on a trial but if you do it's paid for.

They might give you more options...

Just a thought. My mother in law beat skin cancer that had spread to many of her organs. She couldn't have done it without the help of a trial at USC. She's now the most innoculated cancer patient in the world.

    Good luck!

    BD,

Thoughts and Prayers. My mom-inlaw just had a half a lobe of a lung removed to the big "C" and is up and walking around the block in under a month at age 64. Treat the big "C" like a rental jap econobox, beat it.

WOW. Prayers and hang in there. MD Anderson in TX is one of the best centers for cancer. At the very least give them a call or check out their site. http://www.mdanderson.org/

<font color="green">As was already said, Cancer can be beaten.

My Mom was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in 1985, she beat it, then about 6 years later she was diagnosed with breast cancer, beat it. In 1996 she was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer again, turns out that the type she had in 1985 didn't limit itself to the Ovaries, some new sort that they sent to Sedar Sanai (sp?) and had tested.

She said it was no fair that her tumor was going to California while she was stuck in the hospital.

Anyway, they gave her about six weeks, seems it had grown through the large and small intestine and was about the size of a nerf football.

She found a doctor that would take it on and she is still with us today, cancer free for 8+ years.

The longest she has been without it since 1985.

Definitely get a second opinion and keep your chin up. If my Mom had listened to the six weeks and gave up she would be gone by now.

She's a tough one though, had Polio as a kid, 7 years in an iron lung and 6 in a chair. I took her to Vegas when Mama Rash and I got married and she walked that whole damn place with us.

There is a place in Tulsa called the Cancer Treatment Center, we met an older couple from Dallas who came up to be treated, both at the same time. They stopped by the house while we were having a garage sale and saw the cars, the old dude was a car guy also and really seemed to enjoy getting a look at them, stayed a couple hours just shooting the ****. They both looked much better than my mom ever did during her treatments and they have 10-15 years on her so that treatment center must know something.

Anyway, good luck to you and my thoughts are with you.

My Dad had the exact same thing back in about '91. They did the window biop and turns out it was his Thimus Gland. This is a gland that works like your tonsels do when your a kid, it helps fight off sickness. Well, as you grow older it shrinks and then goes away, his did the opposite and grew, into a large tumor next to his heart and lungs, causing chest pains and shortness of breath. His was non-canecrous and he's find as for as that goes.

Good luck to you and your all of our thouhgts and prayers.

  24. My prayers are with ya, BigDaddy!

As a heart patient myself, it's amazing what modern medicine can do for us today. At the risk of preaching and I know it can be tough, but keep your chin up. Positive thinking and the choice to live is a powerful aid to both you and your doctors.

God bless you and your family.
