Looks fine to me. I usually spend days looking around for a good clean seat that don't need covered. Usually the wrong color or they want my first born for it.

I think it's unanimous. You're using that seat!

I'd definitely run it, especially if I made it.

My whole car is like your seat...a good effort but has a few wobbles. Doesn't matter though, I'm proud because I did it. I wouldn't have it any other way.

    Nice job

Put it in and use it, and you will quickly forget what you don't like about it.

If you want Ol' School, you nailed it, if you want the billet look, do it over. I wouldn't have a problem using it. BTW, paint the coupe black.

you are crazy. i would run that seat and finish the interior if i were you.

  17. It looks goddam good for a first seat. we are always our own worst critics. dont sweat it. the next one will be better. I thought my first striping job was*****ty,everyone else thought it was pretty good for a first effort.

  18. Don't listen to what those other guys say...it looks like cr**...ship it to me and i will get rid of it for you...

  20. What are you f'ing kidding me!

It looks good from where I sit.

Everyone here is saying it looks good, others are going to like it too and ask you who did the work. You can puff out your chest and say "I did it" and be proud.

    Nice job.

I JUST READ ABOUT 3 PAGES .If you really don't like it . Sell it on ebay and build another one .When I build a car I mock up the seat and cut the foam. Hell man you went a step further. My advise is get the color you want for the car. Then pick the color of interior. Please do a 42 inch seat in dark brown and give it to me. Or let me know when your trash pickup is and ill grab the red one. Nice job by the way as I mentioned earlier

  22. I dont mind it. It actually looks like something you see in the little pages so I would call it period. Actually, your stitching is BETTER than lots of those cars back then.
I agree with the flatness. From a driveablitiy standpoint I think it DOES NEED a bolster at the front of the seat bottom to keep you from sliding forward. A pal has a 34 with a similar seat and you are always pushing back with your feet like you are sliding forward.

I say keep it, run it, you learned on this one, better than the juckyard fabric most of us run the first time around! Get some miles on the car then decide!

    Looks great.

Sean did the seat in my '33 and mortaging my home wasn't even required. I think his prices may have gone up a bit in the last 10 years or so, but Im sure he's still worth every penny. On a side note, thought I hadn't seen him in like 10 years??? Turns out (according to Gregg) he's that new guy ya see at all the car shows with the bushy beard. I didn't have a clue! :) Cracks me up!!

I think it looks good, paint the car shiny black and go.....

Even the nitpicky stuff you know about can't be seen when you're sitting in it.
