For the 1st time in a few weeks I spend the better part of two days doing car stuff. Put my 54 back together. I finished the gear swap, pulled the lowing block back out so the tires would go on. I add a new trans tail seal, rebuilt my speedo head, made the dash lights work, added a clamp to the exhaust hanger so there is no more banging, new fuel pump, found to vacuum leaks, and fixed the fuel leak. Then I went and worked on my father inlaws 55. I was all set to rebuild the front end but it doesn't need what the inspector listed. He told us it needed ball joints and control arm bushings they are good the tie rod ends and idler arm is shot also both front shocks are gone. I don't think he'll be doing any work for us anymore. We looked into his list more and found two things that need fixed. One was the tag lights and the second was the seat. The seat was his doing he got in and tried to morethe seat back and did push the handle back down to lock it in place. He also told us the vibration coming from the car was a bad motor mount or the torque converter. Well he was close on that one. The trans was solid mounted. I want over today and made a new mount and fixed the steering stuff. Then i was looking at the gas tank I have no idea what kind of tank is in it but there is no way tailpipes are going to make it by. I guess that also explains why the gauge doesn't work and why when its low on gas and you make a turn the car shuts off. The sending unit and fuel outlet are mounted left side.

I ordered a whole load of parts today so maybe this weekend will be just as impressive. I almost always seem to push to get things done in September. There is lots going on it October that I want my car for.
