i didn't quite hang the handlebars up, but close

hey folks, long time motorcycle guy here, been into bikes and nothing else since nixon was president, off road, sport bikes, cruisers, dual sports, singles, parallel twins, v-twins, opposed twins, inline triples, inline fours, most everything. anyway, started feeling my age i guess and started thinning the herd in 2012, down from 8 two wheelers to 2, and dumped all my plus 100 horse bikes and riding mostly a 35 horse bike now. haven't even had a car with a v8 since maybe 85.

anyway, found a beat to ****e 53 gmc shortbed. i'm gonna need help figuring out what i got on it and will need a healthy dose of advice as i swing it to a non show quality daily driver.
