I enjoy SANDBLASTING!

Anyone Else enjoy sandblasting like I do! I do not mind at all doing it! I think it is very relaxing! LOVE it! I want your opinions!!!!

 

What little i've done of it, I did really enjoy. It is pretty relaxing, kinda zen in a way.

I've been leery of sandblasting since it killed my grandfather. He sandblasted bathtubs for Crane for 11 years, then lived out his life in misery until he died of silicosis. In those days they did not believe in safety equipment for employees, what the hell, just get another immigrant. There are millions more where he came from.

So enjoy your sandblasting but do yourself a favor and use the proper safety and breathing equipment.

 

I agree dadsdreamcar nothing is enjoyable in heat, but after all I have done I still enjoy it and it calms me!

 

You are a sick individual. Seek help. Better yet, come over and blast some parts for me.

 

Billions of dollars spent in this country every year on drugs and teas and creams and what have you...all in the interest of helping women to relax.

Sandblasting out in the open can be fun, but wear the right gear! I've done smaller pieces in a bead blast cabinet at work, getting paid is even more fun.

Todd, I am detailed-oriented! I like to think of myself as meticulous! I like having a hand in every step of the process, and knowing at the end! It was allll me!

 

Sandblasting to me is like being in a bad relationship,
there is a point where you realize,
I don't want to do this anymore!

 

Must be a girl thing as I really enjoy sandblasting parts as well. I also enjoy power washing stuff. Maybe it's the wand thing???

 

When the blaster is set up right and working great, and you have good cutting media in it, blasting is great. It's one of those instant-gratification jobs where you can really see progress after a couple hours of work.

But when the machine isn't working right, or the window on the cabinet is fogged up, or the shit isn't cutting very well, or it's 110 degrees and I have sand stuck all over my sweatyness, then it's the worst job in the world.

 

LADYCRUSR, maybe because its a form of cleaning to us women!!!

 

I hate it....will do it cause of the result it creats....but there is nothing in the world more than I hate than sandblasting......hell, I'd rather block sand till my arms fall off and my fingers are greasy bloody nubs....

 

Well girl I've never sandblasted anything on my own, but for sure I would see a picture of you doing the work, I like women with decision, women they manage themselves, these are worthy of admiration...

 

Absolutely NOT. I don't enjoy cleaning. I don't enjoy cleaning at all. I think Squablow nailed it....kinda an instant gratification for me as well.

I think I just came up with a new business....since so many guys don't like doing it how about a business where men can dropoff their parts and have them sand blasted by gals in bikini's! They of course will have clear plastic coveralls on to protect their skin. I'll serve beer to the customers as they wait for their parts to be blasted.

 

I like it too. That and pressure washing kinda the same
