Well I got the master bathroom working agian so my wife let me out in the garage. Hopefully I can make it Invasion Dallas in it this year.
I ended up taking 9 1/2" out of the bed now I just need to bring it down about 3" or so.

Cool, I have most of a cab for one of those out behind the garage. Probably soon to be a planter out by the driveway.

And I think I have enough left over parts to build a similar truck if I built a frame for it.

Did you do your own wood pieces on it or find them at a supplier?

    Its early 20s
I ended up using the frame it was on when I got it to help save some time and cash, had to redo the front and rear crossmembers. The top bows came with it but look like someone carved them with a hatchet. My father in law is really good with wood working so hopefully I can get him to do the top.
I saw BendD's truck in his avatar, I asked him for some side view pics to look at the bed , he said his was stock length.
I 've looked all over for some pics of tall t trucks to get some ideas but I havent found any useful, so I'm gonna just stick with the image in my head.

Neat ride ...I like it .When you said bring it down 3 inches do you mean chop. I like the height .It defines the car ....

no i'm not going to chop it. I think the whole bed needs to come down a couple of inches , maybe the top rail even with the bottom body line.

  14. I hope you're referring to bringing the bed down and not the overall height. I love the tall-T look, especially on a truck like yours. Very nice.

My youngest duaghter called me **** for spending 2 1/2 hours on the firewall when "it cant really be seen". She just didnt understand that if i made one out of sheet it wouldnt have the factory lines in it.

The stance is staying right where it is , I think the bed needs to be dropped down a couple inches.

Got the headlight, radiator and front shock mounts done this weekend. Found a corvair box at a wreaking yard for 50 bucks :D with the pitman arm , just have to reverse it now. Mounted the cab and started the floor, decided to use the original floor pieces so it would still have the factory kick up. Got the p***enger side header almost done.

The cab is 1925-27 Ford TT truck.
I'd move the body up a tad to bring the top of cow/firewalll into horizontal alignment with the radiator/shell(if you're going to use one). Makes the proportions a little cleaner.

the pics are before i made the body mounts, with the cushions and mounts i can put a level from the firewall to the top of the radiator and its almost dead nuts. The shell sits about 1/4" taller than the radiator so i dont think it will look that far off.
    And NO CHOP!!!!

Hey David, I may be a little early asking this one, but what were YOU thinking about on paint? So many ways you could go that would look killer. I just enjoy watching what you got going on so I have no intentions of offering my own unsolicited opinions (wink, wink). Looking cool man!
