well after years of begging the phone co. and cable co. they finaly got me dsl out here . i tell you it couldnt have come any sooner , lol . no i can upload pics and download big stuff . cant beleive i made it this long without killing someone on dialup, lol.
I tell you, been there...Live in the boonies here too. I had satellite internet for a while, paying $80/month for not much better than dialup. They ran DSL down the road about 1/4 mile from me but I couldnt get it. For months I called and called and called, no luck. I stopped 4 different AT&T trucks in the area on different days and begged, pleaded, you name it... and finally got the right guy. He actually followed me to my house and said man your so close I can get them to run you line. Sweet! 3 days later I had DSL. Guess what, they just got Uverse here now, its being installed wednesday. I cant wait! My internet will go from 6MB to 12MB for the same price, plus all the HD, dvr tv and good stuff
Oh man, I would have FLIPPED if I didn't have high speed until now. Heck, I get my shorts in a knot when it takes a few extra seconds to load a page. I could use a little patience...
well satelite was not an option with a teenager in the house , and the way they limit you to a certain amount of bandwidth alowed.
