Thats some funny stuff right there. The ford instrument cluster runs a close second. I would definitely sell to a restorer...

This has to be true, this is why 32 Ford roadsters never end up like this.

  3. First someone who cares about what it is has to know it's out there. It's just an old car in someone's back 40 - never been advertised and probably parked when it was just old and the wood rotted away.

I've found plenty of cars that I was able to sell pretty easily just by advertising them. Before that, no one knew they even existed. Hell, one I sold three times - eBay buyer #1 flaked, eBay buyer #2 paid then dropped off the face of the earth, and two years later local buyer #3 made me an offer without even having to run an ad again.

But that's okay, you just go on p***ing this stuff by so I can make the money off it.

Why can't I find stuff like that in WI?
Actually, I know where there's a Whippet in about the same condition. I was thinking Bo Jones...

  10. I don't know what year Auburn dash is used in Model As but they are neat and rare. The dash could be worth a bit by itself.

For years I took on the "impossible" cases just for the satisfaction of bringing them back from the dead. It's an absolute certainty that you NEVER get back what you spend on them and your labor works out to around 10 cents an hour but since I never had any other pastime like fishing, golfing, hunting, etc., the time I spent was joy, not work. Once done I had no interest in them and sold them for funds for the next project. I'll be 76 in January and have a 34 Auburn in much better shape than your 29. It has the beautiful flowing lines from the hood ornament diagonally down across the hood and makes a Nike like "swoosh" down the sides. Wish someone would bring it back---it deserves it. Before and after pics of a 54 Olds Starfire convertible I did before the old body started double crossing me. It was better to start with than some I worked on.
