Do what I did. Chrome it, then clear coat it, carefully sand the clear coat off the holes and weld them up, paint the welds with flat black, and you will have something very similar to what you have now.

all right, one more post, and this one's a warning. I'm really not sure what they are, but I had a pair of pants made of the same material once, and I was arrested for indecent exposure not ten minutes after I left the house! So, if you decide to make pants outa them, make sure you wear something under them!

Dont let water dry on them thangs, ya cant get the spots off. Then ya gona have to wax'm and maybe buff'm. Then ya got to be real carfull not to go through the white paint cuz you will see a bad grey primer spot. I would put them away and never show them to anyone. Just so they dont get all messed up.

oh sorry... pics are down but in a nutshell im told by my buddy at the antiques roadshow that thes atr super rare ultra low temp muffler bearings that hupmobile used on very few production cars ...they started using the modern high temp muffler bearings when they realized that exhaust temperatures far exceded the heat range for the low temp set up...other manufacturers learned from their mistakes and thats why these are so rare...likely the only pair left and also very likely that they are from a concept car that was taken apart after the 1925 podunk arkansas auto show,
