OK, here's one for anybody who knows brakes. I did a completely new brake setup on my truck. I got a master cylinder and some lines from Speedway. There catalog says to use RPV valves when there is a master under the floor(like mine). So after all the fittings, and tee's, and hoses, the only leaks i have are on BOTH of these RPV valves. They seem to fit nice with the metal line fittings, but when you pump the brakes a few times and build up pressure, they start to drip! What the hell is up with these things? I have a buddy who was using them and his brakes were dragging real bad untill he took the valves off and now they work great. Are these little parts just bullshit or what? Any input would be great. Rick
maybe replace them with brass unions, and see how the brakes work...my guess is you won't have too much trouble.
Check and see if you have 1/8 National Pipe thread and not 3/8 thread. the tighter you get them the tighter the seal. Use liquid teflon and make sure u do not get it inside. Sounds like buddy installed them backwards or used the wrong poundage. dso
