Paint little thumbs down signs (for each one received) on your cowl and see how many more you can collect! Kinda-like little bombs painted on a B-24 for each successful mission. You should be able to pick up plenty of them in Billetland, FLA. :)

Idiots like the thumbs down rebel flag boy are a dime a dozen. The fact you got this reaction from him tells oughta tell ya you're doing everything right.

The old guy must have been the one who chopped it.

He was showing you how he chased the Oilcans by pushing on the Roof with his Thumb.

You should have stopped and asked him what he knew about the car....:D

Hey don't get me wrong, I like rebel flags and stuff, doesn't bother me a bit, but in all the years I've driven old cars this is the first time anyone's ever given me a blatant thumbs down, I was surprised. Everyone has a right to their opinion, Lord knows I'm opinionated as hell.

Here's a funny incident that happened to me years ago, I was standing on Orange Ave and shooting the **** and looking at cars back when they allowed street parking on Saturday nights. There was one particularly tasty number that had 'ground effects' which appeared to have been made out of aluminum siding and pop riveted to this Datsun 280ZX in a striking linear fashion to resemble a Ferrari Testarrossa, which were all the rage back then.
As I was having a guffaw at this poor man's attempt to turn a lowly Japanese rustbucket into an expensive Italian thoroghbred, a fella showed up in full Morris Day and the Time attire. I was commenting about what a hideous attempt this was at 'customization' when he told me it was his car. Needless to say I felt a tad bit uncomfortable but not as much as I would if I had to drive that thing around.

You know I actually prefer that 'urban' look compared to the ones the young 'uns are sporting these days, what with their pants around their ankles and their underpants showing. I'd give 'em a thumbs down but they're liable to shoot me.

He might have had a tragic table saw accident where they put his arm back on upside down so it really was a 'Thumbs Up'

I was going to say sewwed it back on but couldn't spell sewed so so what.

Or it could be the ***ty dancer dad theory. It is almost father's day.

Guy at work carries a big *** Super Soaker in his ride. One day a yuppy guy in a Mercedes gave him the one finger salute. This was after the retard cut my buddy off talking on a cell phone. He had to stand on the brakes to save his front end. The guy was stopped at a light and my friend rolled by, turning left, and at the last moment..........dumped about a gallon of water in his face, lap and cell phone. Perfect justice for a situation like this.

  16. Sounds more like ***ault than justice. Nothing like going from wronged to wrong.

  17. He probably just got done watching "Hot Rods To Hell" on PAX or the Hallmark channel and thinks you're one of those damn juvenile delinquents out to raise hell and steal his daughters away....

Maybe he came home from work early one day and there was a "hot rod" parked in front of his house. He went inside and found some dude banging away on his old lady............. :(

Probably not in these parts, there's probably only 10 of 'em in the whole tri county area but then again, you never know.

  28. It's always about you isn't it? What makes you think that his thumbs down was directed at you or your coupe?

Did you ever stop to think that he may have recognized you as a kindred spirit or fellow traveler, if you will?

Maybe it was his declaration that "Florida ****s!"
Could it be that he was hanging his thumb out the window in order to dry it after removing it from some dark and moist place that we don't want to think about?
Your paranoia and suppositions have once again caused you to head for that shame spiral, downward as usual.

    Again.
    As usual.

Take it up with Dr. Melfi.
