Pete & Jakes. Your gonna pay a little more but the quality is head and shoulders over Mac's or Speedway and you'll have 'em in a couple of days. You've heard the old adage..........'Pay me now or pay later'!

Gott im Himmel! 6 quarts of electrolyte for a battery that size? Or was that the minimum they would sell?

In the North East you're crazy to order from anyone but Joes Antique Auto in Uxbridge. He can get you everything that any of the other suppliers can get you for less money and they don't screw you on the shipping.

I have never had a bad experience with them.

My bad. That should read six pints. I basically purchased two pints more than I needed for the initial fill up to be on the safe side. I think I still have a pint lurking in the shop somewhere.

Gonzo is right on the money! I have bought parts for my '47 from Joe's Antique Auto and they have been AWESOME to deal with. They are friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. They shipped the stuff I ordered quickly and the shipping charges are reasonable. So often these days people look at shipping as a profit center and that is total BS in my humble opinion. Others are free to disagree of course.

Joe's is the first place I look for parts and I will only go somewhere else if they don't have what I am looking for.

If I'm correct Ecklers, Mac's and Dearborn are all owned by the same people..But I don't think they have Dennis Carpenters or Auto Krafters yet. Or am I mistaken?

Is this 'Dearborn' the one that was also stamping '32 rails a few years back? Some incredulous stories about some pairs that got 'cross-jigged' in the machine...and what the outcome was. Outrageous!

Well I ordered stock 40 shackle inserts from Macs on Saturday and got them Wednesday. I guess I got lucky.
