That car's been rattling around in my head for a while now too! Here's a piece I did in '04 of it, (Not exactly, just from memory...)
weez that painting is RAD- thanks for posting that- kick ass... I really really like that chevy grill... and I think I'm leaning towards a smooth 50 bumper in the back with a kasier over-rider or something... I don't want to clone the car... just do something inspired by it- man... Kustoms rule.
Did you sell the roof? why don't you make the roof a removable lift off top also? but chop it to match the new soft top chop. It would allow you to use in the winter.
That is one very refine Kustom! Tuck, I can only imagine how it will turn out, looking forward to this. Ken
I too love the car that inspired you, but I don't understand your comments about stance. Your car already looks like it's down in the back, and the inspirational convert is low but dead level. Personally, I think yours could come down more in the front. BTW, this is mine:
50 fraud- yer vic is RAD... -the whole thing is coming down from where its at- another 4" min... flipping the spindles up front and cutting the spring- z-ing the frame in the back it has 4" drop blocks already- and to me it looks like a 4 wheel drive. I could de-arch the springs but then I would lose ride- whats cool about Zing the shoe is the trunk floor comes up to the trunk lip- and you can hide the raise floor section below the rear seat. If you study pics of the Cunningham convertible you'll see that its really low- he Z'd his frame and used drop blocks to get 8" of drop. Thats a lot... he also swaped spindles side to side and cut a coil- anyways... thats what im doing... -if its too low I can always adjust via the drop block... if it needs to go a lil lower I can de-arch the springs. I have 15" wheels for it- I just need to get the whitewalls and figure out what I'm going to run for caps...
