That would be a good start for sure... wonder why it has gone for ****? what would he of done to make it not bind? I would not paint strip it at all... starting all over doesnt find the problem..
Some of that stuff they bleach that hair with would strip expoxy. A hazmat team could have a field day in that beauty shop..!!!

Finally got the v.w bug striped down , now sanding the sealer off then wil sand it down with 320 grit sand paper, then prime it .The fellows wants it painted t.n. orange.Its gonna be painted in acrlic enamel with harder, no clear coat.
Still sanding away on this v.w. Damm i dont know what they sealed it with.Cant wait to prime this thing! Bruce.
OK finally got most of that v.w stripped down and getting it ready for prime. I had to pull the hood off and strip that also and even had to use a grinder they must of had a 1/4 inch of skim coat filler on that baby Had to use some tiger hair for the front of the hood where the metal was rusted away.The guy didnt want to buy another hood.Man i will be glad when this one is done so i can get back to work on my 1956 buick special station wagon.Bruce.
O.K. Got that darn V.W.stripped down and got it all primed up.Picked up the paint today Guy wants it painted T.N. ORANGE. Changed my mind about the acrlic enamel paint.I am going to try and paint in acrlic enamel urathane.Bruce.
I finally got the door jams painted on the v.w.Today i painted the rest of the car with acrlic enamel urathane.I really like that paint .Now its T.N. Orange.Just hve to untape it put on the new running boards and bumpers and down the road it goes and then i can finally pull the 56 buick special station wagon back in and start on it.Bruce.
