Also notice that he ways "I'll be gone this week but SHOULD be able to get to a computer almost every day". How convenient that he just might NOT be able to get online. The smell is getting stronger by the minute.:)
Wonder if he'll pull the auction with about a day to go saying "item no longer available"?

Could those blocks be highway dividers or the cement blocks used for keeping the side of a hill from coming down?

Notice how the belt drive does not even line up, probably more the 1 1/2" out of alignment, fake & ripoff written all over it

  6. Looked up Decatur used car sales and there is a phone #. Sub standard site. It would be funny if this was all real and legit and somebody scooped it for a song outside of the auction. The real story will come out soon enough as there is a pack of rabid hot rod dogs on it-ha! As far as the pics and paint job, they are strange, but that vehicle is full scale in my opinion. Keep us posted you Sherlocks/Rockfords.

it looked like blocks to me at first too, but when you zoom in real close, it looks like dirty dry wall, and the conduit line helps fool ya into thinking blocks.............could be wrong .

You guys are right. There's a distinct odor about this whole thing, and I don't believe it's just the aroma of evaporating paint solvents....

you guys are right. that is not a tile/block wall that is conduit running across and i now see the junction box.

  11. That's no Model A body that I've ever seen, not even a coupe with the roof wacked off. This has to be a total scam.

The reason he'll be gone is most likely because of people who would like to come see it in person.

  13. - He says "I will ship anywhere in the lower 48 states for FREE. My shipper has a fairly new truck and my last buyer was happy with his service so I would recommend him again." However, has no feedback as a seller.
    - Appears to be ignorant of Ardun, but goes into detail on suspension elements "front and rear axles have been upgraded, they both look like 37 to 39 Ford units with hydraulic brake conversions ... transmission looks to be a 39 Ford ... steering column looks to be a 34 Ford unit ... "

  14. I looked up WB Kotzz in Illinois and no Kottz found.

No flatting on the bottom of the tire which would indicate some weight on the tires.

I never saw a brick wall with bricks that big.

Nor did I find a Kottz anywhere in the US.

Well I hope you guys did the right thing and hit the "report" button at the bottom

  17. It looks like something you'd see up on a pole outside a wrecking yard.

I'm gonna send him an e-mail asking him for a picture of the motor with one of the valve covers off of it.

    Sam

  18. "The valve covers say Ardun."

Notice he doesn't say it has ARDUN heads...

    Sam

  19. And, the ultimate sucker bait, "The engine is stuck from sitting for so many years but she gave me another engine with this deal that is supposed to run. Both engines are included with this auction." ... You mean I'm gonna get 2 Arduns from a guy who doesn't know what he's got?

Man I would not pay a dime until I kicked the tires on this model looking car. Barn find with yellow paint over everything? Looks like smells like my best guess it is shit.

  22. Weird, looks fake but that does look like its sitting in a well used paint booth to me.

The wall is styrofoam 4x8 sheets....insulation.

I play devils advocate here...cause the only thing that makes sense is what dragnut said....

The heads are real....thats my guess....but just a guess.....

Look at the one pic showing the front....see the little hole in the bottom in the bottom front of the heads....

  26. Another sign he's trolling for a sucker is he uses every key word likely to draw in an interested Ardun buyer except Ardun : rat rod vintage hot rod street rod altered gasser hi boy high-boy roadster beater quickchange Halibrand Frankland CAE Winters Franklin quick change Columbia 2 speed beater jalopy NHRA AHRA National event winner Indy Detroit Auto Show Mickey Thompson Offy Edelbrock Winfield flathead Bonneville Salt Flat Lakes Racer 2 door coupe barn find 1928 1929 1939 1931 1932 1933 1934 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 T bucket Ford Mercury Lincoln Zephyr 3-speed 4 speed Kelsey Hays Cadillac Lasalle.

Highly unlikely he'd know these key words while professing virtual ignorance of the Ardun.<!-- End Description --><!-- End Description -->

Sellerdecaturusedcarsales has 100% good feedback. 26 items as a buyer,

Zero items as a seller. Hasn't sold a thing on ebay yet, don't think this is legit, reported it to ebay fraud, let them sort it out. No doubt in my mind that it's all pieces slaved together with no chance of it ever running. The rad cap is phony, what's that all about?

Edit; After reading his description with all of the stuff that has been "modiofied", "upgraded", "motor stuck", etc, I'm guessing he probably hasn't violated any ebay rules. The one thing that I asked him about, says title is clear, what's it titled as. I'm waiting for his reply..........

Check out the dude's feedback. It's all recent as a Buyer. If you're into car sales on Ebay, you should have feedback as a Seller... I vote SCAM...
