be real careful with paint stripper. on the rare occasion when we would use it, i would triple tape all the seams on the car. you read that right, three layers of masking tape on all seams, joints, etc. that stripper runs down in little crevices and you won't see it, but when it comes time to spray the car, you'll find out that you didn't remove all of it and where it was. sand or blast, that's the only way to go. and if it hasn't been said enough times already, invest in a good respirator. a lot of the older cars used aluminum oxides for primer and that is some bad stuff, you don't want a lung full of that.
PRIOR to using paint stripper on your car.. get some rolls of Aluminum foil tape, from a aircraft supply shop..to cover the seems.. and any area that the stripper will seep into.. If your using paint stripper,, apply and cover with 36 inch paper.. let it soak.. then use a br*** brush barb q brush and agitate.. it works well..,
