    When my grandpa's eyes became to bad to work in the garage, I got all of his old tools and nuts and bolt jars. Now my grandma laughs at my wife when she complains about it all taking up space in our garage!!!

    I threw a lot of 'scrap metal' out, then my bud gave me a Peter Wright anvil...I built a forge, and regretted tossing any of that wonderful metal!
    Know what you can MAKE from that???

    Glad that I am not the only one who saves things. Case in point I used some safety wire that I aquired in 1966.. Mil spec... I bet none of the Military Air craft mech can guess where it came from. Like many others we were not poor but why spend money when you don't have to. Maybe I should use the 70 year rule about throwing things away. I have lots of things for over 55 years I still dig out parts and use.
