To be more precise, "I had a dream"...last night or early this morning, doesn't matter. And to be clear there was Costco vodka and generic Vicodin involved. Anyhow, in said dream I was hired (or I told my wife I was) to develop a corvette and provided a new 2024 mid-engine model as my base. What happens next is sketchy but apart from some very ominous looking purple spiders and a super model, this is as accurate of a retelling of my night terror as I can recall. Starting up front was a 68-72 chrome front bumper, tucked, widened and including the lower bumperettes. C3 head light doors were used but modern projector lights were concealed below. In the grilles were round (68-70) neon turn signals/running lights with driving lights in the center...I think. The rear had a similar bumper treatment, two-piece chrome with turn downs flanking the plate frame. Exhaust exits were framed by '71 style surrounds and matching rectangular SS pipe finials. 4 round neon taillights in a rear milled aluminum panel, the outers had turn signals in the centers, the inner lights had reverse lights. A number plate was located between the lower pumper turn downs. This was the part about the spiders. We will skip it as it was rather terrifying and off subject. The interior was reminiscent of the "82 collector Vette, but in silver graduating to charcoal on the seats and door panels. The exterior was '78 pace car silver (upper) and black (lower), red stripe dividing them. Small spoiler at the rear like the "78 bolt on unit but looking more intentional. Something about Christie Brinkly...It would be best not discussed. The wheels were styled after the '82 Collector as well, fake knock offs but 20/21" versions, highly polished outer rim, "as cast" centers but using the same center cap as the 82s. Emblems were the black cloisonne emblems but without the circle. They were located on the front peak and inside the rear air scoops on the silver paint. Engine sported L-82 style "valve covers" and accessory lighting to illuminate it through the rear deck windows. The car was a roadster, but the retractable roof featured a mirrored, gl*** top panel over the ****pit, reminiscent of the mirrored T-top panels from the late 80s. Was this a dream or something more? A premonition? Omen? Drug induced fantasy? Perhaps one of our talented members can make this dream of mine a visual reality? @themoose ? A 2028, Indy 500 Corvette? A 50 year anniversary of the 78 pace car? My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives...that and pretty girls and colorful arachnids. Just another night inside Bandit Billy's head.
If I knew what that stuff looked like it would be a big help. If tonight's dream is about Pre WWII Vehicles, please share it.
My dreams are kind of like watching old network TV, not a lot of choosing what you watch...and sometimes there are even commercials!
Sounds like you may need to stop eating ****y food before bed. Or maybe it’s just gas, but definitely sounds more like a nightmare!
I kinda got the idea from this thing a company offers this canto treatment on your corvette for a mere 150k. Price does not include the new vette. It looks better than the better in my opinion. So why not make the vette look like a better vette. It really isn’t that attractive as is.
Well, no. The spiders were purple though. That is pretty cool. Actually laying a sting ray body over the new vette. But they will lose that retractable hardtop feature doing that.
Costco vodka & *generic*(???) Vicodin. Cheap s__t will get you every time. . As for the spiders - wrong kind, although the color *could* be acceptable. & Christie Brinkly??? The "spider-girl" you were looking for, & confused about, is the BlackWidow(from Marvel) . Sigh... Re-dream, please... . Marcus...
A man cannot be held responsible for what occurs in his subconscious mind. I'm not sure if that is an actual axiom or one that I made up that I told my wife when she asks me what I have been dreaming. It's better she not know. As for Cosco Vodka and Vicodin? The adventure awaits. Christie Brinkley, Christie Brinkley...
Am I ***uming correctly that the Christy Brinkley your thinking about is the version from many years ago, as opposed to what ever she may look like these days? I might remember a dream shortly after I wake up, but fortunately, most of those remembered dreams are gone after a few hours.
Sounds to me a lot like something which would have used the styling language of the Astro I and II concepts. A problem with all of the above would be the ugly head of modern regulations unfortunately. But dreaming is free
Christie Brinkley,,,,,,OOOhh Man ! Back then she was about the best a woman could be ! I saw a pic of her a couple of years ago,,,,still looks fantastic ! So,,,I guess you could say age only goes good with cheese,,,fine wine,,,,and Christie Brinkley now ! Tommy
I’m thinking this dream isn’t really about a corvette, the corvette might be an accessory but.., hey I played a phycologist in a 5 th grade play. Dan
