Glad to see you got the problem licked. I think you still need to think serious about the 2600 lb bags while you are still in the fabrication portion. (if you can subframe the car, you can trim/enlarge the spring pocket to take the larger bag..) you will much more happy in the long run. the one below is my buddies and he is running them on a S10 frame, which is either the same or smaller then the camaro
You might also want to check into Slam Specialties bags. They are so far the best on the market for ride quality and lift. You can call them and tell them what you have and what bags you are using now and they can recommend a better and possibly bigger bag for your setup. But being that it is a heavier car you might want to consider a 2600lb bag, just for lift and ride purposes.
From my info, the 2600 bag still has a 5" stroke. Glad to hear you got this problem licked and you're movin on. Sometimes words can only explain so much and you just need to visually see what needs to happen. Gambino's was a good choice. Keep us updated on how everything ****ons up.
Alex gave you a very good way to start and get your measurment. I posted earlier that I thought your cup size could possibly be your problem and I 'm glad to see that Alex came to your rescue. My shop, 205 Rim Shop, has been bagging for several years and we haven't had problems yet. Sorry for all the bad **** you ran into but looks like Ryan has fixed the problem. Thanks, BOBBY FORD
Glad too see you got this corrected Alex was definatley the man to talk to... i'm glad to see the aint bag guys still sound and look childish by preaching when all a guy is looking for is some advice....i'm really glad it's covered i'd love to see some more pics of this build...
