  3. All of this "slick talk" reminded me of running some M&H slicks on the back of a Hemi powered 28 roadster pickup on the way to the first street rod nats in Peoria....cross country and Rain, of course...interesting to try to keep on the road, cause we sure weren't gonna stop for something like our safety....even got a ticket in Oklahoma for running them on the hiway....

I've never understood why they had to use the General Lee theme on that van. It's so cool and that referance just doesn't match. Could have used Scooby Doo, Partidge Family or Brady Bunch, but Dukes? Just don't get it.

In about 1962 I was in the Bay area, a guy used to come around and Red Line tires. Or any other color. Would cut a grove of rubber out then install a stripe of your choice. Where is he now?????......OLDBEET

    Howdy!!
    Adams Hot Rod Rubber Update!!!!
Things have been moving along. We are not setting the Hot Rod World on fire ,but Dad and I have been making great progress each day. We have begun to recieve large orders from some major retailers and buisness has been getting better. Also we have been deveolping new sizes like our 28 3/4"x6 1/2"x15" and 28 3/4"x7 1/2"x15". Quality has been no issue with anything that I have sold, and our process has been refined. We have also been busy with advertising and club/show sponsorship. We are currently advertised in Gasser Magazine soon we will be in Gasser Wars Magazine and Sponsor of East Coast Gassers and will also be sponsor of HOTRODORAMA this year in Tacoma. Speedway Motors has had advertising in Good Guy's Gazette and Drive Magazine with our tires, even labeled a HURST and they have never been labeled as HURST before in there ads. Thanks to Michael Harrington we had ink in the March issue of Super Chevy and will also have ink in this August issue of Mucle Car Review. Thanks to everyone who has purchased slicks and to everyone's pleasant remarks on this board!

I found a cool tire today hence traced an old thread. Too bad we seem lost some photos here... This new one is not a "slick" but I was hoping somebody could tell me something about it and maybe help me to find a pair.

Check this out, these have what i think is the best pie crust ever, they look cartoon-ish. They are so cool that i have actually considered trying to run them even though they are cracked.[IMG]

Is anyone ever going to repop Goodyear Blue Streaks? I always had a thing for those.
