Sounds cool Zman. I will have to get down to Raleigh some time. I have only been there 3 times since I moved here.

I said the same thing. However, maybe it just looks like a tin ceiling, since that would seem out of place in a building from 1946, don't you think?

The tin ceiling is staying... sorry, there's only really one spot where it's messed up... Though it'll not be tan...

  8. Thats great Zman- Id do it that way too........every old building here in town had those old stamped tin ceilings and they were so cool looking...many were let leak till they ruined and the rest are still there hidden above a lowered celotex ceiling tile, suspended on wire and steel straps

I still have to refinish the floor, but things are progressing nicely..... Next week I get to use a floor grinder to level and strip the floor... fun with power tools.....

    Congrats, Zman!

I sure spent alot of time in that part of town, for a kid from North Hills - I worked at a bicycle shop over on Salisbury St., a few blocks south of Hillsborough. I also had some friends who rented over in Boylan Hts. when they were going to N.C. State. Used to go right by there when I was hitch-hiking over to Redneck Tech out on 401 So. back when I was young and really broke. This was back around '72-'75.

I'll have to come have a beer next time I'm up that way.

    Later, *****6
