I have been reading the message board and going to the HAMB Drags since 05 so I decided it is time to join. I am a 20th century guy so I don't like to spend a lot of time on the keyboard. My son and I built a 29 coupe with a 57 Chevy V-8 that we ran at the HAMB Drags at Mo-Kan from 05 to 11. I re-built my flathead powered 33 roadster for the second time and we have been running it at the HAMB Drags since 08. Out of four runs this year at Mo-Kan; I finally made one good run. My son and I are into traditional post-war hot rods. I have built about a half dozen flatheads and a few small block Chevys over the years not to mention a 215 cu. in. aluminum Olds that I ran in my 34 sedan for 22 years. I also belong to the Early Ford V-8 Club with a "touring class" 40 pick-up that is 50 Merc powered. I enjoy reading comments from you members and seeing how you solve your building problems.
Welcome from Kentucky & Tennessee! With your years and range of experience, you should definitely be able to bring a lot to this forum!
Glad you got on board and welcome from the west coast of Florida. Sounds like you have built many cars over the years and I for one would love to see a few pictures of your work if you find a minute to post them. Thanks Jimbo
Thanks for the Welcome! I need to work on picture size skills to send pictures. I appreciate all of you responding to and old hot rodder.
These young kids need a little tending once in a while. Without us old guys around how will they ever know how to 'get it right'! Welcome to the coolest site on Al Gore's WWW.
Larry W posted these older pictures of the 33 roadster. There are a few pictures of it on 'event coverage' last Saturday when it ran at the HAMB Drags at Mo-Kan. It currently has black wall tires and a roll bar with 50 Merc flathead power.
