Hey Groucho, when he first brought it out, it had chrome rims and cheater slicks. Maybe he still has them.
Thats really cool Groucho. Glad to see it found it's way into good hands rather than some street rod moron that would redo it full of billet crap. Congrats on a nice score. Gary
That's awesome! It's already period correct, so don't mess with it too much! Just add your own finishing touches and drive it like you stole it!
here's is old moroso cast iron q -connect for 3bolt wheel ;photo that wheel in your A may grow on you try it ...i have one like it in my 48 chev p/u...wasn't mounted other way in stock use ?is it upside down in your car ..try it other way; any way you may like it better... my son found some q-connects that bolted on &where spline size listed
Is the shaft tapered with a key? Ive got an adapter around here somewhere that will adapt it to a 3 bolt wheel. Looks like a '32-'34 Pickup dash? Cool find!
Very cool! Typical aircraft mechanic build, nice details and those guys usually have uh "access" to all the cool fasteners. Yep, just a liitle lower in the rear, and a different steering wheel makes that thing just right. John
Now that is a Hot Rod, i'm going to go against the grain here and say keep the stance as is with the changes you have planned. Nice find...
Bad ass car man... looks like a real stop-light machine. M20, M21 or M22? (Love the sound of an M22!)
I disagree with all the guys wanting to change the steering wheel. Leave it there. That WAS the style back then. It's way cooler than sticking on a common Superior or Grant (which I have nothing against).
love it--has the look as it sits--327 and solids--music to an old guys ears--love the sound of a small block with solids don't change a thing--it is perfect as it sits in my opinion
Groucho , I never fail to be impressed by your taste in cars .... And this one is all in the details , Looks like it wants to lift a wheel just sittin there .... Well done man !
