Technical I just got the "Ever Living" scared out of me...

I know the feeling well. I was doing something under my 51 vicky and had the front of the car sitting on jack stands. I wasn't able to jack the car high enough to put the stands on the level part of the frame so I put them right where they begin to sweep up to the front suspension and blocked the rear wheels. What ever I was doing, I had my arms up under the car and after awhile the blood drained out of my arms so I closed my eyes and put my arms over my head...taking a little rest. I was almost asleep when I heard this loud bang and felt rushing air on my face. Opened my eyes to see the oil pan 1/8th inch from my nose! The stands had slid up the front kickup of the frame 'till they encountered the lower control arm mounts and stopped. I slid out on my creeper and went in the house for the rest of the day...said a nice little prayer of thanks.

That right there gives me chills. I know exactly where you are talking about and how this can easily happen. This is a very, very easy mistake to make. I can see it and feel that air.
