I just checked it out, looked useful and oddly enough no one had my HAMB user name So i joined. NOW WHERE IS MY ****ING MEDAL
They have a photo resizer here? Show me, show me!!! I've always used another site to resize my pics, what a pain in the ****.
Yeah it worked. Seriously, Ford Barn always has been a great resource. I just could not deal with the format, it does rock mo better now!
I'm there now too. I guess they wouldn't like what we do to nice stockers, but one like mine is probably too far gone to restore!
I agree. I'm one of the ones on the fence. I find I do more posting here. but more reading there. So much great info to be had on that site.
You know how they say "never wear a hot rod shirt at Hershey"? Same goes for the Fordbarn. The core group over there demand a bit of repect from the rodders who drive thru their neighborhood. Just sayin'. Wait until a fellow called Ol Ron gets in there. He is THE flathead guru of all time. Then there is Walt Dupont and others that pretty much know everything you could imajine about the old Fords.........Pipes
It is one or the other, I don't know how to tell the difference. More pictures here: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=426819
just joined, but i have no access yet. and yes i have a ford. but no flathead, didnt come with one, and now it just too expensive to get one right now. come on lottery! daddy needs a bunch of new toys!!!!
I have been a member there for several years but I was more interested in the street rod part of it. Ryan killed that off so I haven't bothered to sign up again. May some day if I ever get another car that old? I spend to much time on other sites anyway. Scott...
Hey John...concerning your avatar there...the Ford Barn doesn't allow pics bigger than 160 pixels X 160 pixels, so you'll probably need to resize. If you have Microsoft Picture Manager, you don't need to depend on a pic host site to do this. Go to your regular picture file, and "pick the pic" you wanna use, then make a cop of it so you don't mess up the original. Now go to Microsoft Word Picture Manager, and find the copy of your pic. Look in the right-hand column for editing, and click. In the pixel slots, change the numbers to 160 in each. Click OK. The pic is now resized. Go to "edit avatar" in Ford Barn, and load the newly-sized pic and click "Save changes". Done. Concerning a desktop icon. You can generate an icon for any site by doing a search for that site, and right-clicking the listing for the site. In the pop-up menu, left click "Copy Shortcut". Then right-click on your desktop, and in the pop-up menu, left-click "Paste Shortcut". Ford Barn is the second one down the list, when you do a search. Look for the one that says "Powered by vBulliten". P.S. - If you don't want to go throught the resizing routine, you can copy and paste your existing avatar here into your pic file, then load it to Ford Barn...it's already resized.
I tried to register I can even use the same username as here but it said I was a spammer and denied me.
I joined the new Ford Barn also, even though i was a long time lurker to the old site.I wasn't a big fan of the old format.Went with a different name(FOMOCOHOLIC)which I believe is more fitting to the site.I also find myself using this site more, but as a Ford fan the Knowledge on the Ford Barn is something that cannot be ignored.Hey,it's all vintage tin and that's what I love about both sites.
