Well, tomorrow is the last final I'll take as a freshman, and I've been busting *** on a lot of things. Since I've lasted talked about this, Daddy-o Diner came over, and we got to chit-chat for a while, and that was rad! He's a fantastic dude. Since then, I've just been throwing it back together, I've got most of the interior in now, and that's after I took these pictures. Anyway, here is the complete exterior of the car. Here goes, I hope you guys dig! I know I do.

I'm gonna clean up the engine bay, and clean the engine up ******** sometime soon, but right now I'm focusing on my scooter to get that roadworthy, while I save up for a transmission swap for the car. I may get something neat done with my top pretty soon, and I'm gonna take some pictures in the same place, and same angle as when I first got it, so I'll post those too with comparison pictures.

In case some of you don't know what I started with, here is delivery day! Almost five years ago...Wow.

Wow! That treatment is spot-on! If the photo quality was less, I'd swear the pix were taken in 1961! How neat! Well done.

Now...please don't add any features that would not have been done in 1961. The temptation is great, I know, but...

Oh no, the only other modern thing going into the car is a transmission, and as soon as I hook up with Greaser815, I'll have a factory radio and a good dash insert to throw in the car, to make it look "right" from all aspects.

Other than getting the trunk done, and then maybe a tonneau, and other upholstery and chrome work done (and eventually paint), its all done.

[IMG] My telephone can do some neat stuff with photographs, I think. I'd say this looks more proper?

I'd just like to say thank you again, for all the kind words and all the feedback, this is without a doubt in my mind the best group on the HAMB, and a bunch of stand up gents.

Wow! I think that your Ford is one of the best I have seen in a long time. So darn smooth and cl***y looking. I have full confidence that the rest of the treatments will be done in the same amazing fashion. Well done!

Oh yeah, I found this pic in a thread on the big board from a car show in Iowa recently. I have never seen this before, but thought it was a great paint treatment.

I actually spent a lot of time arguing with my dad about doing something like that, but with the gravel shield it really looks good. We were going to do black, so it kind of looked like a scoop, kinda (if you close both eyes), but ultimately I won, because its my car.

I'll give it a go with some tape, and see if I like it or not. On that car it works, really well I might add!

Looks good on some cars, but adds visual "clutter" that your car has thankfully avoided so far. In my humble opinion, the really great customs of all eras had one important thing in common: clean, uncluttered lines. I hope you will avoid the temptation to "busy" your car up, and leave it the way it is now. $.02

I think that car is FINE! I would stay with the white if it were me...It seems everyone paints there car black, White just makes for a clean smooth look. I also dig that grill I wish I had that on my car...how hard was that part of the build?

The grille itself was very easy, just two end mounting brackets (which mount to holes drilled into the air deflectors, with plates on the back for support), and a bracket that attached the center of the grille into the center support. It was a little trouble measuring and figuring out where it needed to go, in terms up up and down, but the center tooth dictated where it would go in the housing.

Now, the grille shell and nose of the car, thats a different story ahah. Triumph Terror did the headlight swap, rounded the hood corners, and frenched the shell. Then my really good friend Eric, re-rounded the hood corners, and cleaned the headlight swap a little bit, ultimately smoothing the nose of the care out. He then made the inner grille shell, and finished the nose of the car off by doing so.

And I totally agree that keeping the car clutter free was and is the goal, because a custom car only looks good, if its lean and mean--much like that of a custom bike. Embrace the body lines you're given, and tweak everything just enough to make them better. That's the way I look at cars anyway, right or wrong.

Seriously, thank all you guys for digging the car, it means a lot.

Thanks! Your merc is coming along nicely, and I've always loved your ford.

Update--There are no updates! ahah, I've just been driving the car and enjoying it. After I recover from getting my wisdom teeth cut out, I should be ordering a transmission, and starting my swap! I've pretty much everything besides a yolk, a shortened drive shaft, and the transmission. So after I get that, it should start rolling!

Seriously, thank all of you guys, means a bunch. I'll try and take a bunch of pictures of my transmission swap!

A t5, Ford motorsports has a wc t5 with the early saleen ge****t, which gets me a .63 to one final drive. I'm pretty much done with the clutch pedal set up, and have most of my brackets made and figured out. The shifter will be a pita though. I'll keep you all updated!
