That is a bad *** ride even if it is red and i agree with 3WLarry, loose the fenders. I can definately tell why you look at it so much though.

Yank the fenders and the roof, and THEN you've got a hot rod! Just my .02

I like it just the way it is! The fenders help set it apart from the rest.

It's so perfect the photo looks like Monogram box art for the third car in the "Green Hornet", "Big T" series set.

The fenders are traditional dirt track jalopy trim.Lou Brown's "Clipped Coupe" '32 5 window in the November '61 R & C has fenders trimmed like that.

I remember all the Jalopies racing at Ascot were like that to keep from them getting bent into the tires when they'd "bump & go".

I think I'd like it better if the fenders were on the front and back. Something about them being up front but not on the back doesn't look right to me.

But it's still an amazing car. Nice than anything I've got.

I am the hugest Y-Block fan! Weird thing is right now I don't have anything with a Y-Block in it. I have a nice flatty that I am using in my Model A project, but I would much rather have a Y-Block.

Damn it Jeff, you've got me scrounging through all my old mags, because I I always thought that was a clone of a magazine cover car.

I first saw the car 3 year ago at Indy, I just ***umed it was a clone, but the original truck was from Ohio so maybe it's the original truck. Here's a magazine article from the "Rod & Custom in the 1950's" book.

Agreed. I think the whitewalls with moon discs combo works perfectly with the red.

Looking at those pics it sure looks like the same truck. Just needs those original rear fenders and that subtle pinstripe and all would be right with the world.
