what i miss about the old days of working on my cars: time.

now i have a career. married with children. we have a business. 100 year old house. tons of responsibilities. all of that eats up my time.

the *only* way i get time to work on *my* projects is getting up in the wee hours of the morning. i'm up and out of bed by 4:45am most days. on weekends i sleep in until 6am. work in the garage for a couple hours before i have to boogie off to work.
i truly enjoy that time of the morning now. feel like it gives me at least something.

as far as that part of growing up and having responsibilities... just because of the kids, i'd not trade it for the world. working on the cars/motorcycles with my little ones is awesome...

... unless it's on the newer cars, where i have to go get an ALDL cable and my laptop, just to have it tell me something else is wrong from what i'm looking for. damn daily driver runs so f'ing rich and i can't trace where it's going wrong...

  2. I once changed the plugs out on a gal's 1996 S-10 Blazer, and on the driver's side, I had to remove the airbox & some other EPA junk just to get to the 3 on that side. Takes me about 10 mins. to changes 8 plugs on my '66 C-10. I'd be scared to touched any new car today
