You might get a more useful response if you give the sort of specialty that you are looking for. Without providing details you might say whether it's a civil or criminal situation. A zoning complaint, a fraud situation, a personal injury, an employee-employer dispute....or? Attorneys tend to specialize so if you provide the general area that you might need their assistance you may increase your chances of a response.
if you know of an attorney in california and would like more details before forwarding him to them; maybe it would help to PM the person and ask for a bit more info to be sure the referal is the proper suit for his situation. Obviously he can't divuldge in extensive information on a world-wide public forum and i dont see the never ending obsession with knowing someone's business. If you know of someone who might be able to help....sending a PM doesnt take too much effort
You might understand that I am reluctant to discuss this type of issue on a public forum, duh. Let's just say it's a family matter and leave it at that. Oh, and thank you farmergal for setting things straight. r
Contrary to popular belief everyone here don't need to know another mans private business. All he is asking for is a point in the right direction,,HRP
The are many lawyers that are "hot rod friendly", but they generally don't list themselves as such. I've managed law firms for 30 years so I do know a little about this. You can call the Bar Association in your County and ask for a referral, or search online. When you find someone. simply e mail or speak to them and briefly, BRIEFLY outline your case. Lawyers are expensive and are not miracle workers, people sometimes want them to sort of avenge what they perceive as wrongdoing instead of proceeding on the basis of law. Without knowing what exactly your case is, that's all I can tell you. Since you would be a plaintiff, you would pay a percentage of money recovered, but don't expect a lawyer to spend their time for free because they are "hot rod friendly.
I wouldn't worry as much about whether the attorney is "hot rod friendly" as I would about how good he is. The law is the law, whether it's hot rods or cows or whatever. This is just my 2 cents without knowing what your case is about. Learn from my mistakes. Here is what I would look for in a attorney. 1) Someone who comes highly recommended 2) Someone who has been practicing law in that jurisdiction for a good amount of time. He will know the judges and I have discovered that carries a lot of weight. If they're golfing buddies, that would be good. 3) Don't hire an attorney because he is nice or because you think he's fair. Hire a real bastard that will go after the defendant. Nice guys will finish last in the litigation world. Come into the fight with guns blazing!
I'm a lawyer and I'm Hot Rod friendly. The thing is that my law practice has absolutely nothing to do with Hot Rods. I think you need to take your search to the area of law that you need assistance with and I think the HAMB is not the place to do your searching. Get on the phone with your local bar association and pick the brain of whoever answers the phone.
