This "Peterbilt" has motorcycle wheels on the front that have been machined and drilled with a 5-lug pattern to mount to a set of Ford hubs...

yes I can. a MM is the width of a dime and a cm is about ->.....<- that big.
there's other ways of measuring, but I am not going to tell you how many smoots my **** is.

  4. 22mm = .866" on my calculator.

That aside, I'm wondering how the car can weigh 290#?
Combining that with a front axle setup that weighs in the neighborhood of 200# with transverse spring and all the other stuff must mean your car is made of unobtainium.

Probably a typo and the car is projected to weigh 2900# . . . ya think.

Side loading on motorcycle wheels strikes me as one of those oxy***** things.

Perhaps your question would be better answered on a V-Dub board.

Course, we have our own metallurgist, chemistry professors and a genuine Rocket Scientist on here so it's possible you could find the answer here.

And . . . whatever bright new idea you have has more than likely been done before.

Say, you don't live under a bridge do you?

Yes they do. In fact, most duct tape is now 44mm wide, rather than 2"

so your useing a needle bearing for an inner and a ball bearing for an outer?, if so then you may not need a thrust bearing if you capture the inner race of the ball bearing on your spindle. metric is great for knowing how fast your going and how warm it is outside, not so great if your building a house as lumber is still measured the old way.

TMan I am with you on that one. did you read that ****stick's profile??? Retired elevator repair guy. He should take care of business at home first - it looks like his elevator needs repair - it doesn't make it to the top either.
