Technical I need Gemmer 3cc03 rebuild

I'm pretty new to this forum so bear with me.

I have a 29 Model A "hot rod" that has a flathead and a Gemmer 3cc03 steering box.

The steering box needs rebuilt or shimmed or something.

Does any one know where I can get it rebuilt or buy a rebuild kit or buy a new steering box.

Most early Ford parts houses like Mac"s etc sell rebuild parts, gears for the early boxes including the F1, and the F100 boxes.

 

Check over on the Ford Barn, lot's of Model A guys that restore and someone may have your answer. HRP

Isn't that a f1 or f100 box?

 

Show us a pic of the box and we can probably tell you which box you have to buy rebuild parts. Be aware replacing the worm gear is not for the faint hearted.

 

Check with NealinCA on the Ford Barn. He rebuilds Ford boxes. Don't know if he does your type or if CA is too far from Central Illinois but he has a good rep IIRC.
