I need help!

    hey guys i have a 34 ford pick up and i want to put a snap on soft bed cover. im looking for some pictures for ideas and possibly if anyone has made there own tonneau cover i could use some tips, or maybe someone in so cal you could direct me to to have one made. thanks guys

    Any upholstery shop can do this. Open the Yellow Pages and let your pinkies do the walking. Most will give you a fairly accurate quote depending on what you're looking for.

    I wanted to stay away from snaps. They require drilling holes in the bed and will start rusting in short order. It was a big problem in the 60s. I built this cover out of 1/4" plywood and firing strips glued and screwed. The firing strip frame just sits in the bed with the cover laying on it. I found a new black toneau cover for a newer Ford very cheap on Ebay. I bought it to get the vinyl. I cut it down to fit and stapled it to the underside. It looks like a soft cover but it comes in handy to set stuff on when the occasion arises and it hides the ugly inside of the bed. You can have a picnic on it if you want.

    My buddy got a nice toneau cover that uses velcrow for his 56 F100. I'm just too cheap and love doing it my way.:D
