With how much chop is there I think anything you put in will be hard to see out of, but a 49-51 ford might look all right.

with that heavy of chop, i would shoot for something pretty narrow or it will look off..

I can't find pics of a 54 chopped that heavy, but my thoughts were if it was a smaller narrower window the curve of that sheet metal that surrounded it and how it flowed into the rear would have to be perfect to pull it off. But a larger rear window would really make you notice how laid down it is. I'm sure someone will come along with a more solid idea for ya...

from the internet...this guy used a 51 chevy rear window. You might need something even smaller, with that much chop. The trick is finding one with the right curve that matches the new shape of the roof.

Wow, usually having the front and rear gl*** planned before chopping is the way to go. just getting the rear of roof to flow into rear of body will be a challenge. since you will need all of the visibility as possible will need a fairly wide curved piece of gl*** and have to cut it down. do you still have original gl***? with that chop will need to section body and pancake hood to get proportions right. anything is possible.

i put a 50 desoto window in this and with about 6 1/2" out of the back its almost verticle but still kinda visible

  10. I'd worry about the severe angle on the windshield. if you find someone who can cut that windshield have them cut down another windshield to fit what ever opening you want for a back gl***.
I did a thread on cutting a backgl*** out of a windshield a few years ago. you should be able to find it in my "old posts started"

I always said if your going to chop a car it worth wile.
Maybe a 49/50 merc back window, with the rounded corners they have it might fit better ?
You might have more of a problem with the front window?

Mines not cut as hard as yours but look at the shape of my window,
(it's a 49 Merc) might just fit niceley on yours.

Find a windshield with a similar curve, to the crown of the roof.
Cut the windshield to the shape you want, then finish the roof
    to suit the gl***.

Which is how i would have done the front,
make the steel, fit the cut down gl***.

WOW! Now you got ball dude!! I love that chop! I Would look into early 50's ford or chev, like 49-51's you might also check into just building your own window, do someting along the lines of a split window that looks something like a elongated 40 ford split rear window? or what about a 49-50 chev truck back gl***? Might behard to find but I am thinking a oval window VW gl*** might work too, just do some measuring and hit the salvage yard, you will hit pay-dirt! And start a build thread on that car for us to watch! Jim

It's such a small space I think finding a windshield with a similar crown and cutting it down would be the best bet. It's so chopped it will be hard to get it to look right from the rear

You know what thought of that, my last 54 I built had a rear split window I used from a 40 merc, but I thought of building my own mail slot style rear window

How traditional you looking to go? looking at your car i see 77 camaro/trans am rear gl***. gives a wraparound look, if the dimensions are right. similar to a cut downn 53-61 Stude back gl***.

Whatever back window and frame you put in there, consider turning it upside down so the curved part follows the cat walk better tan some of the suggestions posted.
Figure it's going to go up into the sheet metal of the roof you have in the posted pictures
You should probably consider lengthening the cat walk area to the point where the natural arc of the roof coincides with it.

With the radical chop, I see a mail slot window in your future...maybe one that is hinged and lifts up.
