  9. Ive got my grampas compression tester for those type,& that era spark plug hole size....never knew AC made there own tools back then.

    Welcome Takethefall, I wonder if his dad may have had a bit of input in the design of that tool. That would make it somewhat special to him.

    The vast knowledge bank and research ability of HAMB members never ceases to amaze me. In a short time Bobby Sox found the photos of the item showing what it was used for and not a whole lot later Bruce found the original patent application.

    Someday I'd think that the tool should go to an aircraft museum that would actually display it.

    Louver press. The serrated wheel feeds the sheetmetal. I invented it in 1907. But the government wanted it for the war to punch louvers in engine covers for tanks. Rather than pay me millions in royalties, they made the handle longer and called it their own.
