Stuff like what transmission did they come with? What models were available? This particular truck has a three speed column shift. What bolt pattern do the wheels have? Any pictures about? So far I've found very little.

Going with a friend to look at this thing tonight.

they have big hubs but are a ford car pattern...5 on 4 1/2.they either had a 3sd or a granny on the floor.they had straight sixes in them...they did a diamond type gimick name on the motors..50s had silver diamonds..then i think there was a green diamond and so on becoming bigger and bigger.most trans and rears are way geared low..for being work trucks.in fact i blew my 50 up.i think 50-54 are all pretty much the same..i cant remember which models..but i think the later ones had hidden door hinges...they had the half ton short beds that are pretty rare...the long bed..and then i think they ran them all the way up to the real big trucks with the same cab.just like the big 3.not sure which trans they ran either..if it was a borgwarner or what.i do know they are gheared way to low for high way driving.and even though they are rare they dont seem to be worth alot.and old farmers love them..my wifes dad was pissed when i threw a rod....so was i.. oh yeah there are some stickly ih web sights...but ****..cant remember its been about 4 years since i had mine.

If it's solid I'm trying to talk a friend into buying it for a couple hundred bucks. It runs and drives - just depends on how much rust is there and what kind of shape the transmission is in. We were told it's "questionable" so I'm wondering what's easily swapable.
