that looks like shit. I love them low, lower the better normally but that thing is wrong. the smaller front fender openings make it worse..

if they would have stopped before they had to raise the rear 1/4's up to fit the tires, it may have looked ok.but it seems like a lot of work to make it look like a toy car.not my thing at all

This car did EXACTLY what it was built to do. It grabbed your attention!! If this had been a more conventional '49 build. How many would have looked closely enough to have payed attention to the adv. on the back window. Looks very well done from what you can see.

I kind of like it. It's an 'in-your-face' type of car.

I think the buick looks pretty sweet... but about 2 inches too low (imho). I'd finish the bodywork, throw on gloss silver, and a metalflake roof, and pimp it.

yes, as a matter of fact it is! expecially when somebody has tried so hard to make it look like shit.

the builder must know jack shit about suspension geometry, look at the ladder bars that point OUT towards the front in the build pics!

    Yes, it is.
A trend starts...people always try to take it to the next level until it becomes a parody of itself.
NOW is time to move on, before driving such a beast requires an open sunroof.
I put this right up there (or DOWN?) with those rollerskates with 30" rims.

ALL aspects of a vehicle should be in consideration as its built. Focusing all energy towards a single aspect at the expense of the others will result in an abortion such as this.

    This car is important though.
It's like a bookend to the question, "how low can you go...(and not look rediculous.)"

I like it. I'd put some '59 rear fender openings on back and radius the fronts.Paint it flat black with lime scallops and go cruisin. Those pics are too close up.I imagine it looks cool going down the road. -Strat.

  22. A lot of work to convert a car to a static metal scupture. Obviously not meant to be driven. Makes a nifty laundry hamper or beer cooler.

In the build link did it say it has a 4.3 for power? The ride height pic reminds me of that cartoon taxi that has the hot rod for a son!

Well it is an easy way to deal with rusted rockers and other body panels that have been buried in the mud for a while, Them parts is hard to weld in right.
