It's a truck 354" Chrysler Hemi #1619829 minus the valve covers, front cover and oil pan. It was originally installed in a Dodge school bus. The truck-specific heads and 2-bbl intake have interchangeability issues (thicker sodium-filled valve stems, carb heat passages, and 331-style coolant passages), but the A-1 block is identical to automotive '56 354's. The cylinder walls, pistons, rods & crank are flawless. Using my cheapie calipers, it appears to be bored .030". Long-term plans include automotive heads, dual quads and zoomies, then drop it into a 4" chopped '28-'29 Tudor highboy sedan, inspired by Gabby Bleaker's Austin fuel sedan from the mid-'60's, but with an overdrive tranny so I can do Americruise & Power Tour. Mrs. Gary55 let me buy it as a retirement gift to myself after 20 years in the Navy. Interestingly, I brought it home in the back of her Subaru Outback.
thats cool i ordered my duel quad intake today for my 331.should be here in afew weeks.using 2 600 edelbrooks and a hilborn style scoop.
