Every now and then, I like to log on and just rip it into some new guy for old times' sake.

Kind of a tribute to our more traditional forefathers.....

  2. Better to bag on germ than to have a '38 on bags. :D

I'll tell you something scary more scary that a ride though westport in the old '38, I used to read some of the really off the wall stuff that germ wrote and it made sense.

I can see that, makin sense of a mindless ramble. Now, we could get all friendly and logical here, but what fun would that be? The boss is updating his car and we owe it to him to **** this post up just a bit, doncha think?

As far as being back on topic, the whole banger thing doesn't fly. Not that it was supposed to, but I figure I'd say it anyways. I don't wanna know what's going in there yet. I wanna see the front done.

    And Bonneville?

    ****er...:cool::cool:

I love weed and hot rods! And California for giving me a prescription for my bad Carpul tunnel :)

If they only had something for my hot rod illness it would be perfect!

They do.....it's called a bum Hydromatic Trans and it's the reason you've been so distant. :D

You need to switch prescriptions to a drug called Early Ford Trans. It Works.

  9. Tardel is the Doctor and he's just up the road from ya.

I don't think I would have ever twisted one out if it were legal, woulda taken all the fun our of it.

I guess I wouldn't want to own a hot rod either if it didn't scare me when i stabbed the loud peddle. Hmmmmn, looks like there are some similarities there for sure.

Hmmmm.......... I wonder if they make a cross member like that for a stock 40 frame?? Is that a home built frame (front clip) or an aftermarket piece?

  15. That cross member if you are talking about the new one is no doubt a tardel piece. You can fax him and ask.

It was legal until 35 or 36. Some redneck wanted it outlawed because...ah, nevermind.

Still, hot rods really picked up steam after that. We get our fix one way or the other, or both.

Speaking of a fix, I'm watching this one. I have a major change happening in my game plan. There's still Packards in the mix, but I'm going in a different direction with a 1st car, then the 2nd, and the truck, and...

Having control over every minute of my days is awesome:cool:

Just got a glimpse of that drive after I posted. Holy **** is an appropriate and on topic comment.

  23. I take the blame for this one, this time. I was just tryin' to keep it up top until you posted something new. That's my best excuse.

You are going to keep it under the hood aren't you? Come on I'd answer you if you asked me. :D

I get it that an early hot rod suspension and drive-line is cool, but I'm not sure what was wrong with this one?

Nothing at all actually. I love the car. It's a lifer. I built it myself more than 15 years ago. It was getting tired and I was getting bored with it. It was just time for a facelift... and that's what it is getting.

When we are done, the car will share a similar personality... and be just as fast...

  29. I thought that looked like a blower plate manifold. Something to scare the dirty naked hippies. Free LOVE,,,,and RAT ROD housewares. I'm off to SMOKE CRACK with Roy Orbison and Wayne Newton.....
