  1. Ok heres my dilemma.... My daily (1963 corvair monza 900) is getting pretty tired and i heard through the g****vine theres this little 62 sitting at a racing place about a dozen mile from my work. My 63 needs bumpers... rear vent... ummm interior :D.... little odds and ends you know. Its been mine for over 10 years and i love the car, runs like a top... doesnt drip a drop of oil... and handles like a go cart.

Now on to the parts car. Its a 62 with pretty decent paint on it, all there and complete and standing up pretty nicely. It has the 110 motor like mine and it looks complete and the guy said it runs but need carbs rebuilt and a battery. I couldent see the interior due to the layer of dirt on the windows but im sure its all there. The guy told me he parked it at his buddies after he got it going for his daughter who refused to drive it, she wanted a 85 mustang instead.

so what do i do? or what would you do? fix up old betsy that you love or get rid of the old gal wash and wax the new in better shape one? or sell them both for a 85 mustang :p

Should i rob the parts i need for my original and s****/sell the new one or just fix and flip it and buy a project and leave my daily alone?

thanks for reading my rant hope its not to much for a newb like me to bring to the HAMB table

Being Corvairs are worth almost nothing take the better of the two and make a car.

I wouldnt lose any sleep over a Corvair. I bought a complete 62 (not running) w/***le this year for $125. I think I paid about $100 too much.

  4. i hear ya loud and clear buts its a fun to drive car and it was the first car i bought and fixed up myself kinda nostalgic know what i mean

not losing any sleep i just thought the HAMB was a good place to go cause im sure we've all been in the same situation

  5. to rigister it in california is usally pretty easy i think if its out of the dmv system for over 10 years its way easier i think i paid 90$ on the last car i did that was out of the dmv system for over a decade

Fix up the one you are attached to, for sure. Stash the otherbody as a spare shell... a daily driver is always at risk of becoming a radiator ornament on some cell phone fan's SUV, and if it is ever killed, you can move the good engine and interior back to the spare.

  7. Thanks Bruce.... but can you call my wife and tell she needs to park outside for a while so i can stash my 2nd corvair :D

i just may have to go with your advise..... the ea*****t behind my house (my property just behind my fence) has about 15'x40' empty
